Job Title: Pianist (Part-Time)

Position Summary
We seek a versatile pianist to accompany worship services, choir rehearsals, and special events. Organ proficiency is welcome but not required. The ideal candidate is comfortable across a wide range of musical styles—from Handel’s Messiah to contemporary works by Mark Miller—and works well in collaboration with the Director of Music and other musicians.
Responsibilities

Provide piano music for worship, including preludes, offertories, postludes, congregational singing, and special music (primarily by the pianist, though occasionally shared with other musicians).

Accompany the choir at Wednesday evening rehearsal and the 6:00 p.m. worship service.

Collaborate with the music team on service music and special pieces.

Play in multiple genres: traditional, classical, secular, contemporary, and gospel.

Participate in additional services and events (holidays, weddings, funerals, etc.) as scheduled.
Schedule & Hours

Wednesdays: 2 hours (choir rehearsal + worship service)

Sundays: 4 hours (pre-service rehearsal + worship)

Additional hours for special events as agreed.
Qualifications

Proficient pianist with strong sight-reading ability.

Experience accompanying choirs and soloists.

Comfortable across diverse musical styles.

Collaborative spirit and commitment to Mosaic’s inclusive values.

Organ skills a plus, not required.
Compensation
Part-time, with pay commensurate with experience.
